Well, it was officially announced a while ago, but I thought I would comment on it. Every other 'pottie' seems to be doing it, and well.... I wouldn't have credibility if I didn't jump on the bandwagon as well.

Chris Columbus is stepping down after directing the first two Harry Potter movies and Alfonso Cuaron will be stepping in. This is most probably due to his 1995 film "A Little Princess", which I was lucky enough to catch on daytime TV a few months ago. What is annoying, however the press's insistance on referring to him as "Director Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien)".

I mean, what kind of pedigree is that? Akin to saying "The man who directed a soft-core porn flick thinly disguised as a coming-of-age story, which only passed with an R as opposed to an X rating because it was in Spanish and therefore 'art' will be directing the next installment in a series of films for children."

Well, Ron and Hermione seem to be pretty much sewn up as a couple from the way Rowling writes about it now, but we weren't expecting a little more detail until Book 5. Looks like we may have a bit of cinematic 'shipping that's slightly more extreme than anything Sugar Quills has in it's libraries.
