Thanks For Stopping By

This blog means a lot to me. Chronicled within its archives are the first girl I ever cared seriously about, my first job, my first film's premiere, my uni graduation and a whole lotta other stuff. Alas the time has come to close this chapter in my history.

This is not entirely voluntary. Certain people have stumbled upon this blog whom I would rather hadn't, which is probably my fault for having it in my signature on the BAS forums. Nevertheless, action has been taken in the form of the ending of this record of the the past 2 and a bit years of my life.

I never was any good at a paper journal, but there was something about the ease of updating crap from place to place via the internet. I'm gonna arrange to print this out in the next few weeks so I can bind it and have a record of it for my own personal history.

Thanks guys. It was fun while it lasted. Thanks to Shawni for the great blog layout I've stuck with for all these years, even though you offered to redo it again and again. Thanks to my friends for visiting and commenting. Nice to know that someone was out there.

Not good fun

I'm kind of spooked and stressed and freaked out.

I have had two traffic incidents in the past 24 hours.

The first one involved a work van's brakes failing severely and slamming me into the guard rail on the south east freeway then skidding across three lanes of traffic and running 50m along the embankment with the engine jammed on until i could shut it off.

Which leaves my job in jeopardy even though I've been complaining about the poor response of the brakes and such for about 7 months and other people have been complaining after driving that van too. It does leave my lower back severely jarred though and makes sleep, sitting and walking painful.

The second one happened earlier today while I was driving into the city with Dan, Michael and Brad for GENTS camp stuff and involved a collision with a motor cyclist which (thank god) resulted in no injuries but did result in hefty insurance monies to be paid.

I feel really tapped and stressed and freaking and I'm very not well now both physically and emotionally.

The Hair!!!

So I now have labeled all the strawberry*drop DVD/CD sets for supanova, as well as dyeing my hair orange...

I bleached for about 10 minutes then coloured... I conditioned 5 times during the process though, so my poor fine hair didn't dissolve from the chemicals. Have also stenciled my shirts. I bought pants for one cosplay, but couldn't find the top for the other...

Like, no jackets in spring? What is this? Queensland??!??!?!

Finished the final edits on Strawberry*Drop's DVD.... Now am duplicating like, 30 of them. I was only going to do 25, but I want to give some to certain people as freebies. Also have been finishing the cover which I will post later tonight...

Very tired, but am working tomorrow and will have to finish stuff and get it printed as well...

Now I know how Patrick felt last year!!!

What A Weekend

Well, I went to Ray's on Friday night. We ate Red Rooster, drank alcohol, I made brilliant Martinis again.

We ran out of vodka and there was a mercy dash made to the Colmslie for more. The triumphant return of the brave souls with Absolut vodka made a big difference. They didn't taste like they were made with AvGas anymore.

Anyways, watched all of season three of Black Books which was fun. Then I crashed at Ray's on the floor.

Work on Saturday morning installing plasma screens at the Family night club. Was in the city eating noodles with BAS ppls in the afternoon, looking out the window watching a Korean film being shot (guy drives his car on two wheels all the way down Mary street from George to Albert) when I got a phone call to go sort out some woman's slide projector in Chapel Hill. I mean, bugger! I had to drive against Suncorp Traffic (Broncos were playing) all the way. Then it turns out the projector remote wasn't plugged in properly. Grrr.

Went to BAS, where Krazy tried to kill himself but failed. The ambos came anyway so now all we need is a BAS member to be taken away by the fireys and that's all the emergency services bar the SES, which isn't a real emergency service anyway.

Went to Steiny's and looked at the DVD. All good. Gotta make some changes and do some menu fixes, but apart from that all gooooo!!!

Just need to organise my crap for Supanova this week.

Baby We Were Born to Run!!!!

Or so says The Boss (Springsteen) as he blares from my stereo whilst I gaze at the sun-dappled wallscrolls. Many of which are duplicated on the desktop of MY NEW PHONE!!!

I gots me a new phone (Motorola v600). Does mp3s for ringtones, etc, so I have Chiyo-chan's cooking song for a ringtone and Kero saying "Konninachiwa!!!" for an SMS alert. As well as the afore mentioned desktops. I resized a bunch of my computer desktops so it's all nice and pretty now.

Also bought Springsteen's greates hits for $10 the other night. Rocking, huh? I'm loving it. Also am loving Awful Truth series 1 and 2 so I'm filled with lefty pride. Or something.

Hmmm... Supanova drawing near... I must finish the cover art for the Strawberry*Drop DVD/CD, do the insert booklet, bag up the Strawberry*Drops, burn copies, print the labels, covers and inserts, package them all. And I've also gotta buy some stuff for cosplay...

DaaDeeDeeDaaDeeDeeDaaDeeDeeDaaDeeDaa... MUTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even A Monkey Can Draw Manga!!!

Awwk!! It's true. At least it is the title (anglicised) of a great little tankubon I picked up yesterday. Really top notch stuff. Also, I have finished the menus and such for the Strawberry*Drop DVD. Will now proceed to do totally unreal more hidden things to it to make it Action Filled and Jam Packed.

Also saw The Village today. Figured out "The Twist" about 15 minutes into it, however wasn't sure whether that was the twist until more things happened. Then I knew for sure. Unlike the tards behind me who were all like, "What? I don't get it."

I laugh at you, foolish pop-puppets.

15 days till Supanova!!!
